IFDA Praises House Passage of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act and Encourages the Senate to Maintain Key Tax Provisions

McLean, Va. (May 22, 2025) – Following the approval of H.R. 1, the “One Big Beautiful Bill Act,” by the U.S. House of Representatives, Mala Parker, Senior Vice President of Government and Public Affairs at the International Foodservice Distributors Association (IFDA), issued the following statement:

“IFDA applauds House passage of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, which includes tax policy essential for the foodservice distribution industry, almost 90 percent of which are family-owned businesses. Increasing and making permanent the 199A pass-through deduction and estate tax exemption will provide certainty and encourage growth for the industry that makes meals away from home possible. We urge the Senate to maintain these provisions as the bill works its way through the legislative process.”
