
The IFDA National Championship

Transportation Criteria
- The competitor must have at least one year of continuous full-time employment as a driver with a food distribution company (e.g., foodservice distributor, foodservice manufacturer with a private fleet, retail/wholesale grocery).
- The competitor must currently be employed as a full-time driver and not in a supervisory role.
- The competitor must have an accident-free driving record for the one-year period prior to October 23, 2025. “Accident-free” means no at-fault accidents and no alcohol- or drug-related chargeable violations during that time.
- The competitor must hold a valid Interstate Commercial Driver License (CDL) for the type of truck they will operate during the competition.
- The competitor must have continuously distinguished himself/herself by embracing a culture of safety and seeking to improve as a professional.
- The competitor must possess the skills and abilities required to be competitive at The IFDA National Championship.
Warehouse Criteria
- The competitor must have at least 90 days of continuous full-time employment operating the class of equipment they will compete with, at a food distribution company (e.g., foodservice distributor, foodservice manufacturer, grocery wholesaler, convenience distributor).
- The competitor must currently be employed in a non-supervisory role.
- The competitor must not have had any safety-related incidents in the 90 days prior to registering for The IFDA National Championship.
- The competitor must hold a current certificate to operate the class of equipment being operated at The IFDA National Championship, and must pass an on-site “skills check” prior to competing.
- The competitor must have continuously distinguished himself/herself by embracing a culture of safety and seeking to improve as a professional.
- The competitor must possess the skills and abilities required to be competitive at The IFDA National Championship.
