Transportation Competition Qualification Criteria
Qualification criteria for the event are as follows:
1. At least one year of continuous full-time employment as a driver with a food distribution company (i.e., foodservice, foodservice manufacturer with private fleet, retail/wholesale grocery), and is currently a full-time driver (not a supervisor).
2. A driver record that meets the following: A competing driver must have an “accident free” driving record for one year prior to October 23, 2024. An accident free driving record means the driver is not involved in any accidents where they are at fault and has not incurred any alcohol or drug-related chargeable violations.
3. The driver holds a valid Interstate Commercial Driver License (CDL) for the type of truck to be driven during the IFDA competition.
4. The driver has continuously distinguished himself/herself by embracing a culture of safety and seeking to improve as a professional.
5. The driver has the skills and abilities to be competitive at The IFDA National Championship.
Warehouse Competition Qualification Criteria
Qualification criteria for the event are as follows:
1. The competitor must have at least 90 days of continuous full-time employment operating the class of equipment they will be competing in, with a food distribution company (i.e., foodservice distributor, foodservice manufacturer, grocery wholesaler, convenience distributor, etc.). They must not be currently employed in a supervisory capacity.
2. The competitor must not have had any safety related incidents in the 90 days prior to registering for The IFDA National Championship.
3. The competitor must hold a certificate to operate the class of equipment being operated at The IFDA National Championship, and must pass an on-site “skills check” prior to competing.
4. The competitor has distinguished themselves by embracing a culture of safety, continuously seeks to improve as a professional and possesses the skills and abilities to be competitive at The IFDA National Championship.
