New IFDA Blog Spotlights Innovation and Technology

Innovation in every form is top of mind for foodservice distribution professionals.

Dictionaries offer relatively straightforward definitions of innovation, such as “a new method, product, etc.” (Oxford Language) or “the introduction of something new” (Merriam-Webster).

However, business executives know it’s not that simple, as noted in a recent IFDA whitepaper on innovation. That is because innovation takes in both concrete tactics and conceptual strategies.

This new IFDA blog about innovation and technology will highlight how these topics will be illuminated at the 2025 IFDA Solutions Conference, set for September 28 to October 1 in Columbus, Ohio.

Throughout the summer of 2025, the blog will explore these concepts and identify how attendees can learn more at the event’s keynotes, workshops, express talks, expo floor and more.

The blog will help underscore another point made in the whitepaper: the symbiotic relationship between innovation in technology applications and innovation in thought and mindset, and why both are necessary for success in foodservice distribution and across the business world.
