IFDA Announces Record-Breaking Class for the Truck Driver Hall of Fame

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

August 15, 2024

Today, the International Foodservice Distributors Association (IFDA) announced 97 inductees for the 2024 IFDA Truck Driver Hall of Fame class. This class breaks the record of 87 established last year.

The program spotlights the industry’s top drivers for their outstanding service and safety records. Since its inception, IFDA has worked tirelessly with its member companies to promote a culture of safety. Collectively, the 2024 inductees represent over 2,950 years of service to their companies and nearly 3,000 years of safe driving. Since 2018, 459 drivers have been inducted into the Truck Driver Hall of Fame.

“The professional drivers selected for the IFDA Hall of Fame represent the best of the best,” said Mark S. Allen, President and CEO of IFDA. “Hall of Fame induction permanently acknowledges the talents and hard work of these drivers, who are supporting our member companies as they safely and efficiently deliver food and supplies to professional kitchens nationwide.”

Over 130,000 foodservice distribution drivers are currently on the road. Still, only those with the most impeccable safety records and longevity of service qualify for the prestigious IFDA Truck Driver Hall of Fame. To be eligible, the driver must have at least 25 years of employment with an IFDA member company with no chargeable accidents during that timeframe and may not have any moving violations within the last five years.

The 2024 class will be honored at an invite-only banquet at IFDA’s Solutions Conference in Kansas City, Missouri, September 22-25.
