Knowelle is a generative AI search tool that lets you quickly find information in IFDA’s research and knowledge library – including publications in IFDA’s research portfolio and episodes of Crave – The IFDA Podcast – as well as information from the IFDA website about events, programs, and membership.
Knowelle does not have access to the internet at large, as she is designed to provide IFDA and foodservice distribution-specific information. Like any generative AI tool, Knowelle may return incomplete or inaccurate responses, so her output is not a substitute for expert advice on highly nuanced topics.

Who can use Knowelle?
Knowelle is open for anyone to use for three questions, then users are required to log in as an IFDA member. All IFDA members have unlimited access to Knowelle after logging in.
How do I find Knowelle’s sources?
For each response Knowelle provides, she cites and links to the related IFDA publications or web pages where she found the information and/or offers an IFDA staff contact.
Are Knowelle’s answers accurate?
Knowelle does a great job summarizing information she has access to, but like any Large Language Model Articifial Intelligence tool, she can make mistakes and provide inaccurate or incomplete answers. We ecourage users so double-check important information and not take action on responses without careful consideration. IFDA cannot guarantee accuracy or completeness of Knowelle’s outputs. Please contact IFDA staff to verify specific information or context.
What information does Knowelle retain?
