IFDA Members Meet to Share Ideas, Experiences at IFDA Learning Exchange

Last week, IFDA members gathered in Washington, D.C., at the IFDA Learning Exchange meeting for a day and a half of peer-to-peer learning. The conversations tackled practical, real-life solutions to everyday challenges and opportunties in operations, human resources, IT and finance in foodservice distribution.

The 100% peer-driven agenda addressed topics like how to motivate and engage younger workers, workforce training and leadership development, routing optimization, company-wide driver meetings, where AI use is best applied in foodservice distribution businesses (and where it’s less helpful), picking best practices and technology, the potential for warehouse robotics and automation, and management and application of employee benefits programs.

The event also served as a unique opportunity to network with fellow industry professionals to build a lasting network of knowledge throughout the year.

Participation was exclusive to foodservice distribution/redistribution companies that are IFDA members, ensuring relevant, experience-based dialogue.

The IFDA Learning Exchange meeting was held June 30 – July 1 in Washington D.C. The meeting’s lunch sponsor was Argent Consulting.
