IFDA Celebrates the 2022 Truck Driver Hall of Fame Inductees
Today, IFDA inducted 69 professional drivers into the IFDA Truck Driver Hall of Fame on the general session stage. In addition, IFDA honored several 2020 and 2021 IFDA Hall of Fame Members who were not able to attend their ceremony in person.
“To provide some context for their achievement, there are currently over 131,000 foodservice distribution drivers in the United States and after this morning, only a very special 274, in total, will be in the IFDA Truck Driver Hall of Fame,” said Mark S. Allen, IFDA President & CEO.

“All of the industry’s hard-working drivers ensure food and supplies are delivered safely and efficiently to over one million commercial kitchens daily,” Allen stated. “Professional drivers are truly our industry’s unsung heroes.”

Since its inception, IFDA has worked tirelessly with its member companies to promote a culture of safety. In addition to the annual IFDA Truck Driving Championship, this program casts a spotlight on the industry’s top drivers for their outstanding records of service and safety. To be eligible for the IFDA Hall of Fame, the driver must have at least 25 years with no chargeable accidents and may not have any moving violations within the previous five years prior to nomination.
